Starting its operation from India, Xiaomi India has started their Indian website (www.mi.com/in). They have links where you will be directed to Facebook to show support Xiaomi India. There are no listings of any products as of yet.

Xiaomi has already started selling phones South East Asian countries like Singapore, Philippines, Taiwan, and Malaysia apart from their Hong Kong and Chinese sites.

Xiaomi India is expected to begin selling their phones through their portal in India most probably in August.

Xiaomi India had earlier hired Manu Kumar Jain, Jabong co-founder, as head of their India operations.

The site shows a sliding counter of Facebook support and also profile pictures of supporters, although most of these photos seem to be of Chinese nationals and some photos are being replaced by other photos in real time.

Most famous Xiaomi phones are Mi3, Redmi 1S, Redmi 2S, and Redmi Note. Xiaomi also sells power banks called Mi Power Bank, Mi TV, and Mi Box a set-top box apart from other accessories and services.

Xiaomi phones offer premium quality at affordable prices mainly owing to their unique business model. Xiaomi sells phones through direct internet sales through their sites, without any middlemen or local distributors. Phones are sold in batches and those batches are sold out in few minutes to hours.
