Redmi 1S Accessories Now Available on Flipkart

Xiaomi (Mi) Redmi 1s accessories are now listed on Flipkart.  These accessories are available for Pre-order right now and Flipkart will start shipping in second week of September.

Anti-glare screen protector along with the clear screen protector, protective soft gel back cover in black and blue, replaceable back covers in red, blue, and coral colors.

Xiaomi had earlier released in India via Flipkart Mi Power banks, In-ear headphones, flip covers and screen protectors earlier on the e-commerce website Flipkart.

The newly listed back covers for Redmi 1S comes at Rs 469, Redmi 1S soft gel cover at Rs 369, and screen protectors for Redmi 1s at Rs. 179.

The clear screen protector comes bundled with the Redmi 1s as a freebie.

Flipkart is yet to ship Redmi 1s to customers. Second sale of Redmi 1s is stated to be on September 9, 2014 at 2:00 pm.

Xiaomi Mi3 Specifications and Features

Xiaomi Mi3 16 GB basic WCDMA version comes with Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 clocked at 2.3Ghz for international markets. Mi3 has a resolution of 1920x1080 at 441 ppi with 5" diagonal dimension with 13-megapixel camera and 3050mAh battery. The battery is seated inside the housing and cannot be removed by the user.

Dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4Ghz/5Ghz) gives you the room to go wireless and enjoy good internet speed. On a compatible monitor/TV you can control your presentations from your Mi3. It supports Miracast, WiFi Display and WiFi Direct.

Like Samsung S series, Xiaomi sports a barometer. Xiaomi supports USB on-the-go; this makes up for the lack of microSD slot. It has an internal GPS antenna and supports GPS and GLONASS.

Mi3 has a skeleton made of magnesium-aluminum alloy and sports a graphite coating. It has a sturdy metallic USB port. The company claims that the phone speaker grills are drilled by laser.

Memory details are 2GB RAM, flash memory with 16GB eMMC out of which 13GB is user accessible. Again, no external microSD expansion slots available. The phone weighs 145 grams and has a thickness of 8.1 mm.

Both cameras of Mi3 have CMOS sensors with main camera aperture of f2.2, auto-focus with resolution of 4208 x3120 pixels (13MP), while front camera supports 1920 x1080 pixels (2MP). Both the cameras support 1080p HD video. Xiaomi supports only single SIM which can be either GSM or WCDMA (3G).

Xiaomi Launches Website in India

Starting its operation from India, Xiaomi India has started their Indian website (www.mi.com/in). They have links where you will be directed to Facebook to show support Xiaomi India. There are no listings of any products as of yet.

Xiaomi has already started selling phones South East Asian countries like Singapore, Philippines, Taiwan, and Malaysia apart from their Hong Kong and Chinese sites.

Xiaomi India is expected to begin selling their phones through their portal in India most probably in August.

Xiaomi India had earlier hired Manu Kumar Jain, Jabong co-founder, as head of their India operations.

The site shows a sliding counter of Facebook support and also profile pictures of supporters, although most of these photos seem to be of Chinese nationals and some photos are being replaced by other photos in real time.

Most famous Xiaomi phones are Mi3, Redmi 1S, Redmi 2S, and Redmi Note. Xiaomi also sells power banks called Mi Power Bank, Mi TV, and Mi Box a set-top box apart from other accessories and services.

Xiaomi phones offer premium quality at affordable prices mainly owing to their unique business model. Xiaomi sells phones through direct internet sales through their sites, without any middlemen or local distributors. Phones are sold in batches and those batches are sold out in few minutes to hours.
